Gluten-free communion, made simple. WCC Simply Gluten-Free is our economical, straightforward cup for churches that want a dependable option their whole congregation can use. Juice sits in the top of the cup and gluten-free bread sits in a slot at the bottom, so both get their own easy-open seal. Now available in convenient bagged packs.
Simply's design puts the bread in a slot at the bottom of the cup, which is what lets both the juice and the bread have an easy-open seal. Volunteers don't pour or prepare anything, and every cup is ready to serve straight from the bag.
Unsure how many to order? Our church size guide will help, and if your church serves weekly, Should Your Church Serve Communion Weekly? covers how often to plan for.
Both use gluten-free bread, so the choice is about presentation and budget. WCC Simply is the economical, no-fuss option. WCC Chalice offers a more traditional, reverent presentation. Browse gluten-free Chalice, or read our Chalice vs. Simply vs. Elements guide.
Grape Juice: Grape juice from concentrate, water, sodium benzoate.
Gluten-Free Bread: Gluten-free flour mix (garbanzo bean, rice flour, brown rice flour, potato starch, corn starch, xanthan gum, and psyllium husk), water, canola oil, and salt. Free of gluten, wheat, dairy, yeast, eggs, soy, and nuts.
Keep the cups in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months, or refrigerate them for 6 months. They can be frozen for up to a year. Leave them in their original bags so the gluten-free labeling stays visible, and check the best-by date on your package. Our guide to storing prefilled communion cups has more tips.
Can we order gluten-free Simply alongside our regular Simply?
Yes, and many churches do, keeping a smaller gluten-free supply next to their regular order. It's listed and packaged separately, so it's easy to order and store the right one. See our regular Simply cups with bread.
Does Simply come with sacramental wine?
No. Simply is made with Concord grape juice. Sacramental wine is available in WCC Chalice, including with gluten-free bread. See our sacramental wine cups.
How do we know the right amount of gluten-free to keep on hand?
Start with how many members and guests need it. Our guide Gluten-Free Communion Explained walks through how to plan, and you can request samples to try the cup first.
